Mitsubishi A6M5 Zero Model 52 - Captured Zero decal set 1:48 (ROP o.s.)

A standalone decal set (aftermarket markings) on the theme of Captured Zero in 1:48 scale from the Czech publisher ROP o.s. It holds waterslide decals for the late Japanese Mitsubishi A6M5 Zero Model 52 fighter in the form of captured machines examined by the Allies. It is an accessory for a model, NOT an airplane kit: you use the set on your own A6M5 kit in this scale.

The subject

The Mitsubishi A6M Zero was the best-known Japanese fighter of the Second World War. The Model 52 version was a late, capable variant with shortened, rounded wingtips and a revised exhaust. The Allies captured several Zeros, repaired them and flight tested them in their own markings in order to learn the strengths and weaknesses of the machine, hence the word Captured. The set offers exactly these attractive, untypical markings.

Use

• dip the decal briefly in lukewarm water and let it release from the backing
• slide it onto a gloss surface on the model, prepared with varnish, and position it
• use a decal softener so that the decal settles into engraved lines
• once it has dried, coat it with clear coat for protection and to even out the sheen

This is a standalone decal set. The airplane model, the paints and the glue are not included in the package.
