The set holds eight P-50 practice bombs in the T version. The T and SH versions are two separate Reskit products under different part numbers, so check which of them your documentation shows. The castings are resin and are intended to fill the stores on a model you already have — it is not a model in its own right.
P-50 practice bombs served for bombing training without a live charge. They are simpler and lighter than live ordnance and appeared on aircraft in greater numbers on multiple carriers, because a single training sortie used up several of them. For a modeler they are interesting precisely as a subject for a training scene, which differs from combat stores at first glance.
Given the number of pieces, batch preparation has proved itself: washing free of mold release agent, cutting the casting blocks off with a saw and truing them by wet sanding, all at once. Stick the parts into polystyrene foam and spray the base on them in bulk. When gluing them onto the model, take care that all the bombs hang at the same angle — uneven fitting is more distracting than a small inaccuracy of shape. Finally, a fine dusting with pigment helps, so that the ordnance does not look freshly made.
This is an accessory set, not a model of an aircraft. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted; glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
