RAF national insignia type A 1:48 - painting masks from SX-Art

A set of self-adhesive painting masks from the maker SX-Art for spraying the round national insignia (roundels) of the Royal Air Force, type A, in 1:48 scale. The type A insignia consists of concentric circles - a red center, a white ring and a blue outer circle. The masks let you lay the individual colors on top of one another precisely with an airbrush, so that the insignia merges with the surface of the airframe without the glossy film typical of decals.

Use

• Mask and spray the individual circles in turn from the outer one inward (or according to the enclosed procedure).
• Press the edges of the masks down carefully, so that no paint runs under them.
• Always let the paint dry between colors and change the masks according to the layer.
• The result is a matte, painted-on national insignia with no decal edge.

For modelers of RAF aircraft in 1:48 scale who prefer sprayed national insignia to decals because of the more realistic surface and the possibility of weathering.
