Responsibility details are not available.
The SX-Art stencils serve for spraying the camouflage pattern onto a model of the Reggiane Re 2000 in 1:48 scale. They are self-adhesive stencils laid onto the surface of the model, which define the areas of the individual shades, not masks for covering the glazing.
The Re 2000 was an Italian single-engine fighter of all-metal construction with a radial engine and a characteristically rounded fuselage. Besides home service it also reached foreign users. Italian machines of the period typically carried multicolor finishes with mottled or ring-shaped patterns, which are notoriously difficult in a small scale.
It is precisely with mottled schemes that a stencil makes the most sense: spraying dozens of small areas by hand takes a long time and the result tends to be uneven. To keep the small patches from flooding, though, lower the pressure, bring the nozzle closer to the surface and spray in short bursts, perpendicular rather than at an angle. An angled pass onto a small stencil is the most common cause of paint creeping under the edge. When the pattern is very dense, divide the work into several sittings and check the pressure only on the part you are spraying at that moment.
The package contains masking stencils only. The model, the paints and the airbrush are not part of it.
