Photo-etched colored seat belts Eduard Seatbelts USAF WWII 1:48 for American aircraft of the Second World War. An accessory for a cockpit, not a model.
Responsibility details are not available.
These are color-printed photo-etched seat belts from the manufacturer Eduard in 1:48 scale, meant for sharpening the cockpit of American aircraft of the Second World War period. It is not a model and not a kit but a detail accessory. The belts are pre-printed in color, with the stitching and the buckles as well, so that once cut from the fret they look very realistic in a display case.
Seat harnesses were an inseparable part of the cockpits of American fighters and bombers of the Second World War. In reality they were fabric straps with metal buckles; the photo-etched version imitates them faithfully in miniature and replaces the simplified or missing belts from plastic kits.
The parts are cut from the fret and formed gently, so that they look naturally folded over the edge of the seat. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). The colored surface is not clear-coated over; to pull it together, a matte clear coat can be fixed over it at the end. The belts show best in open cockpits.
This is a detail accessory for a cockpit, not a model. The base kit and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
