A stand-alone resin figure in 1:48 scale from the Polish maker Toro Model. It is not a vehicle kit but a figure meant to complete a model of a piece of equipment or a diorama in the same scale. The casting is supplied unassembled and unpainted; paints, glue and a base are not included in the box.
The subject is a crewman of a Polish armored car from the period of September 1939. Armored vehicle crews of the day wore more practical dress than the infantry: overalls or a short jacket with protective headgear and simpler gear, so that the crew could move easily in the cramped space of the vehicle. The figure is therefore a natural addition to a model of an armored vehicle, whether leaning out of the turret or standing beside the machine.
Wash the casting in lukewarm soapy water and remove the mold release agent. Cut the casting blocks off with a fine saw and sand the surfaces carefully, because there is little material in 1:48 scale; protect your airways while sanding. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Lay on a thin primer so that the small details do not disappear. Paint with a fine brush with a sharp point, and a thin wash running into the folds will handle the shading. If you place the figure in an open hatch, check the fit dry before the glue and sand the lower part of the body if necessary.
The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
