A resin accessory in 1:48 scale from the Aerobonus brand. The package contains a figure of a seated Soviet fighter pilot together with a K-36 type ejection seat and is ready for completing the cockpit of Su-27 Flanker fighter models. The set is intended for the early as well as the later version of the seat. It is a detail in its own right, not an airplane model.
The Su-27 Flanker was a Soviet twin-engine air superiority fighter that entered service in the 1980s. Its pilots used the characteristic Soviet and Russian equipment: a pressure suit, a high-altitude helmet and an oxygen mask. The K-36 ejection seat is among the most successful designs of its kind.
First wash the resin parts free of the remains of the mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks carefully and clean them up with respiratory protection. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Apply a primer before painting; it is a good idea to paint the figure in the shades of the period flying gear and to bring out the details with glazes and a dry brush.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The glue, the paints and the base model are not included in the package.
