This colored photo-etched instrument panel for the early version of the British Supermarine Spitfire Mk.Vb fighter is made by Yahu Models. The panel is pre-printed in realistic colors including the dials, so you do not have to paint the individual gauges. The self-adhesive JustStick system makes seating it easy and accurate even in this scale.
The Supermarine Spitfire Mk.Vb was one of the most widespread versions of the legendary British fighter. It was powered by a Rolls-Royce Merlin engine, and its armament combined two twenty-millimeter cannons with machine guns. The early versions served on a number of fronts of the Second World War. The Spitfire cockpit is a rewarding place to bring out detail.
Degrease the panel, nip it carefully from the fret and glue it onto the plastic instrument panel. The glass of the gauges can be suggested with a drop of clear gloss varnish. The set is intended for the matching early Spitfire Mk.Vb kit in the same scale.
