Eduard 1:48 Spitfire Mk.XII landing flaps — photo-etched set is a photo-etched detail set of lowered landing flaps for the model of the Supermarine Spitfire Mk.XII fighter in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
A photo-etched brass set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard in 1:48 scale. It is not a model but a modeling accessory: parts for a faithful rendition of the landing flaps in the lowered position, including their inner structure. Lowered flaps give the model the lively look of an aircraft ready to taxi.
The Supermarine Spitfire Mk.XII was a fighter version driven by the powerful Rolls-Royce Griffon engine instead of the usual Merlin. It excelled at low altitudes and was put into action above all against low-flying German fighters and missiles over the English Channel.
Separate the photo-etched brass parts carefully from the fret with a sharp knife, form the bends in a bending tool or with a ruler and glue them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Clean the surfaces before gluing and roughen them lightly for better grip. Put the flaps together only once the recess in the wing has been cleaned out; match the lowered angle to real photographs of a parked machine.
This is a photo-etched detail set, not a model. The kit itself, paints and glue are not included in the package.
