The set from the Greek manufacturer GasPatch holds two resin replicas of the British Vickers aircraft machine gun in the Hyland Type B form, with standard and with reversed ammunition belt feed. That makes it possible to fit weapons feeding the belt from either side. The package is a detail accessory for modelers.
The Vickers served as the fixed, forward-firing synchronized machine gun of British and Allied fighters of the Great War in 7.7 mm caliber (.303). Different forms of loading handles and feeds allowed mounting on the fuselage and on the upper wing. The casting faithfully captures the barrel cooling jacket and the body of the weapon.
Wash the parts free of mold release agent, cut the casting blocks off and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Sand with respiratory protection. Bring out the metal surfaces with steel shades and a dry brush; matching them to the cockpit gives a convincing whole.
This is a resin detail accessory, not a complete model. Glue, paints and the kit are not included in the package.
