Tamiya 1:6 Honda DAX EXPORT 70 1969 is a large kit of the legendary little motorcycle in its export form.
Responsibility details are not available.
A plastic kit in 1:6 scale from the Japanese brand Tamiya. The subject is the Honda Dax, a small motorcycle with its characteristic pressed backbone frame, in the export form of the late sixties. A scale of 1:6 means a large model on which the details of the engine, the steering and the running gear are all visible. The kit is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The Honda Dax ST70 appeared at the end of the sixties as a town and leisure motorcycle with small wheels, a low seat and a pressed frame in which the cables were hidden. It was named after the dachshund, because its long low frame and short legs gave it a similar silhouette. It was well liked for how easy it was to handle, and to this day it is one of the sought-after classics.
At a large scale the surface is what counts: sand the joints carefully and apply the paint in thin coats, ideally by spraying. Leave the chrome-plated and polished parts until last and protect them while handling the model. Treat the engine and the exhaust in metallic shades with a muted sheen; an overdone gloss looks toylike on a model of this size. Cables and lines under the surface of the frame give the model an air of truth.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
