1:700 28 cm SK C/34 barrels, full length - early version are turned metal barrels of the main armament from Flyhawk for models of Scharnhorst class ships in 1:700 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of turned metal barrels from Flyhawk in 1:700 scale. The barrels match the German naval 28 cm SK C/34 gun and are made full length, in their early form. They replace the plastic barrels of the main turrets of a kit: the metal is perfectly straight, holds the crisp detail of the muzzle and, unlike thin plastic, will neither bend nor break when handled.
The 28 cm SK C/34 gun made up the main armament of the battleships Scharnhorst and Gneisenau - each carried nine of these weapons in three triple turrets. Despite a smaller caliber than the battleships of other powers tended to have, these were weapons with a high rate of fire and muzzle velocity. The early version of the barrels matches the appearance of the ships in their first years of service.
Cut the plastic barrels off close to the face of the turret and drill the holes for the metal barrels with a fine drill. Before gluing, seat all the barrels dry and align their elevation so that the turret looks consistent. Fix them with a small drop of super glue, spray them with primer after degreasing and paint them together with the turrets according to the camouflage you have chosen.
This is an accessory set of barrels - the ship kit, glue and paints are not included in the package. We recommend checking compatibility with a particular kit beforehand.
