A resin kit of the American battleship USS Maine BB 10 in her state from the period of the First World War, in 1:700 scale from the Czech maker ROP. The model is intended for experienced modelers with experience of resin. This is a pre-dreadnought ship, not to be confused with the older cruiser of the same name.
USS Maine BB 10 was the lead ship of her class of pre-dreadnoughts, commissioned in 1902. She carried a main armament of four guns of twelve inches and a secondary battery of smaller guns. She took part in the cruise of the so-called Great White Fleet. In her state from 1918 she was serving in the late phase of her career.
First wash any mold release residue off the parts, carefully cut off the casting blocks and sprue gates and sand the surfaces down with respiratory protection. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). The model suits a base or a water surface (waterline). A primer and shades of naval gray with suitable accenting of the decks are recommended. Fine railings and fittings can be added with photo-etched parts.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
