Turned brass replacement barrels for the British 381 mm (15 inch) Mark I for turrets without canvas blast bags in 1:700 scale from MASTER. An accurate metal accessory, not a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of precisely turned brass barrels of 381 mm (15 inch) caliber, the Mark I type, in the version for turrets without canvas blast bags, in 1:700 scale from the Polish manufacturer MASTER. It is a metal detail accessory that replaces the plastic barrels from the box. The package contains 8 pieces, which matches the main battery of ships with twin turrets. The version without blast bags has a different build at the root of the barrel than the variant with blast bags, which MASTER offers separately.
The legendary British naval gun of 381 mm caliber and 42 calibers length (15 inch, L/42), the Mark I, was among the most successful heavy guns of the Royal Navy. It armed the battleships of the Queen Elizabeth and Revenge classes, the battlecruisers Repulse and Hood and the postwar Vanguard. It served from the First to the end of the Second World War.
Cut off the original plastic barrels and clean them up, then seat the turned parts in the turrets. They are glued with cyanoacrylate or epoxy. Degrease the brass before painting and go over it with a primer for metal. Take care to choose exactly the version that matches the build of the turrets on your model.
This is a replacement part, not a ship model. The kit itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
