This resin kit in 1:700 scale captures the German naval landing craft (Marinefährprahm) of type D from the period of the Second World War. It is a resin kit intended for experienced modelers.
The Marinefährprahm (MFP) was the largest landing and transport craft of the Kriegsmarine. It was built in four basic types, A to D, and type D was the largest of them with a higher carrying capacity. Besides carrying troops, vehicles and supplies, these versatile craft also served as minelayers and as escort and gun vessels in the Mediterranean, the Baltic, the Black Sea and along the Norwegian coast. For a modeler it is an interesting subject with an opening bow ramp and a flat hull.
Wash the mold release agent off the resin parts, cut off the casting blocks and sand them down with respiratory protection. Glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). The model stands out well on a water surface as a waterline build and in a harbor diorama with cargo. An airbrush, fine washes and drybrushing to bring out the deck and the superstructure are recommended.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
