This add-on set from Fujimi holds Japanese 10 cm anti-aircraft guns in 1:700 scale. It lets you fit the model with armament rendered more faithfully than base kits offer, or fill out the armament on ships where the parts are missing. This is not a standalone model but an add-on to a ship kit.

The real subject

The Japanese 10 cm anti-aircraft guns were among the best weapons of their kind in the Imperial Japanese Navy — they stood out for their high rate of fire and range. In twin turrets and mounts they formed the main armament of the Akizuki-class anti-aircraft destroyers and also appeared on other ships from the late phase of the war.

Building and painting tips

Check the layout and the number of turrets against the particular ship and the period you are building. Paint the guns in the gray shades of the Imperial Japanese Navy before fitting them and place them with tweezers using a minimum of glue. The remaining pieces will serve as a stock for further builds.
