Precisely turned brass barrels for the OTO-Melara 76 mm/62 naval gun in 1:700 scale from the MASTER company. The package contains 2 pieces. It is not a ship kit but a more accurate replacement part for your model, taking the place of the soft and inaccurate plastic barrels from the box.
The Italian OTO-Melara 76 mm/62 is one of the most widespread naval rapid-fire guns in the world. A number of modern warships were fitted with it, among them Oliver Hazard Perry (OHP) class frigates. It stands out for a high rate of fire and for use against both air and surface targets.
A metal barrel is perfectly straight, has a symmetrical muzzle and survives careful handling without the risk of breaking off. The result is a truer and sharper look to the gun armament of the model.
Cut off the original plastic barrel, clean up the hole with a fine drill and glue the metal part in with cyanoacrylate or glue for metal. Before gluing we recommend degreasing the brass and going over it with a primer for metal.
The accessory is supplied unpainted. Glue and paints are not included in the package.
