This is a set of 2 turned metal barrels for the Soviet and Russian AK-100 naval gun of 100 mm caliber and 70 calibers length in 1:700 scale. It is not a kit but an accurate replacement part (a detail set) from the Polish manufacturer MASTER with which you replace the plastic barrels from the box. The turned finish gives the barrel a perfectly round cross-section and a sharp muzzle.
The AK-100 is a single-barrel automatic naval gun of 100 mm caliber introduced by the Soviet Navy. Among the ships fitted with it were the Udaloy class large anti-submarine ships and destroyers and frigates such as Admiral Ushakov, Bditelny and Neustrashimy. A set of two barrels covers models carrying one or two turrets of this gun.
Cut off the original plastic barrels and clean up the seating face. Glue the metal barrels on with cyanoacrylate. Degrease the surface before painting and use a primer for metal. A metal barrel also survives handling better than a thin plastic part.
This is an accessory for a model, not a standalone kit. Paints, glue and the model are not included in the package.
