Aber 1:700 – a set of turned metal barrels for models of the ships of the Admiral Graf Spee class: 280 mm (6 pcs), 150 mm (8 pcs) and 105 mm (6 pcs).
Responsibility details are not available.
This is an accessory for building plastic models in 1:700 scale, not a standalone model. The package holds turned metal barrels for the whole armament of the German so-called pocket battleships of the Admiral Graf Spee class: six barrels of 280 mm caliber (the main battery), eight barrels of 150 mm (the secondary battery) and six barrels of 105 mm (the heavy anti-aircraft guns). It is made by the Polish brand Aber.
A single package covers all three calibers of the ship's armament at once. The metal barrels replace the plastic parts from the kit, do away with the parting seam and give the muzzles the accuracy and fineness that plastic cannot manage.
Cut off the plastic barrel, drill a hole in the remaining part and glue the metal barrel in with cyanoacrylate glue. On the small 105 mm barrels, work with tweezers and a magnifier; degrease the metal before painting.
This is a detail accessory, not a model of a ship. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
