The Aoshima 1:700 Republic of China Navy flagship Tan Yang 1955 is an injection-molded plastic kit of a destroyer from the Waterline range.
Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic kit in 1:700 scale from the Japanese manufacturer Aoshima covers the destroyer that in 1955 served as the flagship of the Republic of China Navy. The model is conceived in the style of the Waterline series, that is, a ship cut at the waterline for setting on a water surface or in a diorama.
The ship was taken into the Republic of China Navy after the war and filled the role of flagship. She was a fast destroyer with gun as well as torpedo armament; postwar refits and rearmament are typical of these ships. Her 1955 appearance matches her postwar period in service.
We recommend assembling the hull, the decks and the superstructures separately and painting them apart. The small armament, the masts and the cranes will be brought out by thin coats of paint and a wash, and the fine railings can be added with photo-etched parts. Postwar naval shades and a final matte clear coat suit it well.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
