An Artwox Model 1:700 wooden deck for a model of the battleship Louisiana BB-71 is a self-adhesive veneer sheet with pre-printed planks, cut to the outline of the decks of one particular kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
An aftermarket accessory for a ship kit, not a model. The thin wooden veneer carries pre-printed deck plank laying and has an adhesive layer on the back, so it goes straight onto the plastic deck. The cut matches one particular kit, Very Fire VF700902, so check before ordering that you have the right model.
A wooden deck tends to be the logical first accessory to go onto a ship model. It calls for no intervention in the plastic and yet it visibly changes the largest area. Etching follows on it only afterwards, that is, railings, ladders and nets, which are glued into the plane of the deck. If you reverse the order, you will struggle to maneuver a large piece of veneer around etching already fitted and risk bending it.
A dry run matters more here than with small parts. Lay the sheet on the deck without taking the film off and run your eye along the edges of the whole area to see whether the edge fits everywhere and whether the cut-outs match the shapes on the model. Only then start gluing, because once it is pressed down the position cannot be put right without damage. While laying it, do not hold the veneer by the middle but by the free edge, so that it does not touch anywhere prematurely. Give the final pressure only after a check by reflection, when any bubbles are best seen.
This is an accessory for a plastic kit. The kit itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
