An injection-molded plastic kit of the American command and communications ship USS Blue Ridge in 1:700 scale from the company Trumpeter. The model captures the ship in her configuration of 1997. The hull can be built whole for the stand or in the waterline version. The package holds the parts of the hull and the superstructure, decals and the instructions.
USS Blue Ridge (LCC-19) is the lead ship of the class of the same name of amphibious command ships. She serves as the flagship of the American Seventh Fleet and is fitted with extensive communications and command systems. Characteristic of her are the large antenna arrays and the low, flat superstructure without a heavy gun armament.
Glue with a thin cement for plastic. Decide in advance between the full-hull and the waterline version. The extensive aerials and masts stand out after a coat of primer and airbrushing; the fine latticework can be replaced by photo-etched parts. To accent the detail, use a wash into the recesses.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
