An injection-molded plastic kit of the German light anti-tank gun 3.7 cm PaK 36 in 1:72 scale from the Special Armour brand. It is a small but finely shaped kit; the model is built from plastic parts, glued and painted. The set suits both a standalone model and an addition to dioramas and to armored vehicles.
The 3.7 cm PaK 36 was the standard German anti-tank gun in the early part of the Second World War. It appeared in the 1930s and was first used in combat in the Spanish Civil War. It was effective against lightly armored targets, but it was no longer enough against the more heavily armored tanks that came later, which earned it the nickname door knocker. Even so it stayed in service with allies and other armies as well.
Cut and clean up the small parts carefully, and seat the barrel and the breech precisely. Give the model a base coat and the main shade, and bring out the detail with a wash. The various national camouflages are rewarding, from German gray through desert sand to winter and multicolor finishes of other users.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
