Aviattic 1:72 five-color night lozenge joined for the lower flying surfaces: a decal sheet with the strips of the dark night version of the German polygonal print on fabric of the First World War already joined.
Responsibility details are not available.
An Aviattic decal sheet in 1:72 scale with the night version of the German five-color polygonal print on fabric in the joined treatment, in which the strips of covering are already assembled on the sheet and oriented for the lower flying surfaces. Compared with sheets in the full width of the pattern, a great deal of the measuring and assembling of individual strips therefore falls away.
Covering fabric was laid onto the wings of German aircraft in strips whose joins and orientation on the real machines were governed by the width of the cloth. Night machines were given the dark, saturated version of the polygonal print. The assembled strips on this sheet respect that logic, so the result looks faithful even without lengthy assembling of the pattern.
Trace the outline of the underside of the wing, cut the segment with a small overlap and apply it in one piece onto a glossy base. Setting solutions will help the decal settle onto the raised ribs. Dark shades will emphasize every flaw in the base, so smooth the surface carefully before applying; once dry, clear coat it with a matte or semi-matte finish.
This is a decal sheet, an accessory rather than a kit of an aircraft. It is applied to a model as a particular build requires.
