Self-adhesive masks 1:72 for the Mitsubishi A5M2b Claude in the early version from Dead Design: a clean spray of the frames of the enclosed cabin canopy that marked out the early batches of this carrier fighter.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of precisely cut self-adhesive masks in 1:72 scale for the early version of the Mitsubishi A5M2b carrier fighter, carried by the Allies under the code Claude. The early batches of the A5M2b were marked out by an enclosed cabin canopy; on a small model it is a small, busy part whose frames are hard to paint freehand. The masks ensure sharp lines first time.
The masks are transferred onto a cleaned and degreased clear part, the edges are lightly pressed down and the canopy is then sprayed together with the camouflage. The paint does not creep under, the frame lines stay perfectly straight and the clear part needs no cleaning up afterwards. Once the paint has dried, the films are gently pulled away with no adhesive residue. Suitable for an airbrush and for a brush.
The Mitsubishi A5M was the first monoplane carrier fighter of the Imperial Japanese Navy and the direct predecessor of the famous Zero. It was characterized by fixed landing gear in aerodynamic fairings and outstanding agility. The early machines of the A5M2b version received an enclosed cabin canopy, which was abandoned again on the later batches; that is exactly what makes the early version interesting among modelers.
This is a modeling accessory: the aircraft kit is not included in the package.
