A resin detail set of radial engines for a model of the American four-engine B-17 Flying Fortress bomber in 1:72 scale, from Quickboost (Aires). The set replaces the plastic engines from the Academy kit with finely cast resin parts with well-rendered cylinders, which refine the look of the engine nacelles.
The Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress was an American four-engine heavy bomber deployed during the Second World War above all on daylight raids over Europe. It was powered by four air-cooled Wright R-1820 Cyclone radial engines. The aircraft was known for its toughness and its heavy defensive armament.
First wash the mold release residue off the resin parts, carefully separate them from the casting blocks and sand the marks down. Bond them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue); protect your airways when sanding resin. Apply a primer before painting and lay the paint down with an airbrush in thin coats. Paint the engines and pick them out in metal shades before they go into the nacelles.
This is not an airplane model but a resin accessory for more advanced modelers. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
