1:72 AH-64A Acropol Apache is a simply tooled plastic kit of the American attack helicopter in Greek markings, from the Polish manufacturer Mistercraft.
Responsibility details are not available.
This edition from the Polish firm Mistercraft covers the AH-64A attack helicopter in Greek markings. It is an injection-molded plastic kit, simply tooled, which offers a less usual color form of a well known American type. The same manufacturer also issues other editions of the same helicopter with different markings.
The Apache is an attack helicopter designed to destroy ground targets, with a tandem cockpit, two turboshaft engines and a turret-mounted cannon under the nose. On stub wing pylons it carries anti-armor guided missiles and unguided rockets, and the forward part of the fuselage is taken up by the targeting and night vision system. The AH-64A version is the original production form, which besides the US Army was used by a range of foreign users including Greece, where the machines arrived at the beginning of the 1990s.
Before the build, go over the mold seams with a file and dry-fit the main assemblies, because with simply tooled moldings the fit of the fuselage halves tends to need tuning. Paint and fit the cockpit interior before you close the fuselage. Glue the landing gear and the rotor blades on only after the finish. A uniform dark finish can be brought to life with light lifting of the surfaces, a thin wash in the panel lines and fine rub-through on the edges, where the paint wears most on the real machines.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
