Reskit 1:72 AIDC IDF F-CK-1 A/B/C/D Wheel Set is a resin set of landing gear wheels for models of the Taiwanese F-CK-1 Ching-kuo fighter in all four versions given. It is an accessory for a model, not a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set replaces the landing gear wheels on models of the Taiwanese AIDC F-CK-1 light fighter in 1:72 scale and according to the manufacturer it covers versions A, B, C and D. It is not a model of an aircraft but an aftermarket resin accessory from the Ukrainian maker Reskit. The castings hold a sharp rendering of the tread pattern and of the layout of the hub, which on tiny injection-molded parts is usually lost.
The AIDC F-CK-1 Ching-kuo, known also under the abbreviation IDF, is a light supersonic fighter developed in Taiwan after the island was restricted in its access to foreign types. Development ran through the 1980s, the prototype first flew at the end of the decade and the machine is powered by a pair of jet engines. Version A is single-seat and version B two-seat; the designations C and D belong to modernized machines that went through a program of extending the service life and improving the capabilities.
Wash the castings in water with dish soap and apply a primer, otherwise the paint will not hold on smooth resin. Cut the casting blocks off and level the surface. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). In 1:72 scale work with tweezers over a mat. Paint the tires dark gray, the hubs separately, and give them a light patina with a dust pigment.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted and it is not a model in its own right. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
