An injection-molded plastic kit in 1:72 scale from the Italian manufacturer Italeri. The model represents the AV-8A Harrier, the American version of the British vertical take-off ground-attack aircraft operated by US naval aviation. The package contains parts in gray plastic and a decal sheet; paints and glue are not part of it.
The Harrier arose in Great Britain as the first successful production ground-attack aircraft with vertical and short take-off and landing (V/STOL) thanks to the vectored thrust of a single engine. The AV-8A version was derived from the British machine for the US Marine Corps, with which it served from the beginning of the 1970s for the direct support of ground units. Characteristic are the rotating nozzles of the engine and the ability to operate from short surfaces and from ships.
Glue the parts with a thin cement for plastic, fill the seams over and sand them. Apply a primer before painting and spray the shades best with an airbrush. The rotating nozzles and the stores will stand out once the panel lines are accented and a fine patina applied.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
