This resin kit captures the concrete form of an element of the fortification complex Feste Kaiser Wilhelm II. as it was in 1917. The model is cast in resin and is intended for more experienced modelers. The contents of the box and the number of parts follow the particular set from the maker.
Feste Kaiser Wilhelm II. (today Fort de Mutzig near Strasbourg) was a massive German fortress built from the end of the 19th century until the First World War. It was among the first fortifications made of concrete, with armor plating and electrification, and it was the largest enclosed fortification complex of the German Empire. The designation Betonausführung 1917 refers to the concrete variant of the object in the late stage of the war.
Wash the parts free of the mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks and glue them with cyanoacrylate; sand with respiratory protection. You will capture the concrete with a combination of gray tones, pigments and washes that emphasize the texture and the age of the surface. The object can be set into a small diorama with terrain.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
