A decal sheet in 1:72 scale for the twin-engine Bristol Beaufighter Mk. 21, that is for the version from Australian production and service.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Bristol Beaufighter was a heavy twin-engine aircraft with a crew of two, powered by a pair of Bristol Hercules radial engines. The armament concentrated in the nose was supplemented by bombs and rockets, so the machine found its use as a night fighter and as a feared attacker against ships and ground targets. The version designated Mk. 21 was built in Australia for the air force there and served in the Pacific theater. It is easy to tell on a model: a short nose, massive engine nacelles projecting ahead of the leading edge and a cockpit moved right to the tip of the fuselage give the aircraft an outline that cannot be mistaken.
Decals in 1:72 scale for a model of the Beaufighter in the Mk. 21 version. The number of marking variants and their assignment is described in the instructions supplied with the sheet.
The sheet is a classic wet decal. Cut the subject out as closely as you can, dip it in lukewarm water for a few seconds and let it stand until the film releases from the paper. Coat the surface with gloss varnish beforehand so that the decal clings over its whole area and the edge of the film is not visible. A decal softener settles the elements into engraved lines and onto the curve of the fuselage; once it has dried, even the surface out with a covering coat of varnish in the sheen you want.
For modelers of Allied aviation in 1:72 scale and for anyone interested in the Pacific theater. The package holds a decal sheet; the aircraft model, the paints and the varnish do not belong to it, unless stated otherwise.
