A plastic kit of the British Vickers Type E light tank in the Mk.A version in 1:72 scale from UM. According to the name, the package holds the track version made of a flexible material, that is, rubber tracks, which are pulled over the wheels and joined without assembling individual links. The model belongs to the wider series of interwar and early war equipment that the manufacturer covers in a small scale.
The Vickers 6-ton, also designated the Vickers Type E, was a British light tank of the late 1920s, conceived as a cheap export vehicle. The Mk.A version was marked by a pair of separate small turrets side by side with machine gun armament, whereas the later version had a single turret with a gun. The design was simple, with leaf spring suspension and thin armor, and it became the starting point for a number of license-built and derived types in several countries.
Finish and paint the running gear, the wheels and the inside of the suspension before you fit the tracks and close the hull up. Rubber tracks do not take ordinary plastic cement; they are joined with an adhesive for flexible materials or mechanically, and before painting they have to be degreased and covered with primer, otherwise the paint cracks and peels. Leave the turrets off until after the spraying, so that you reach the roof of the hull more easily. Finish with a wash in the recesses, a dust pigment on the running gear and fine chipping on the edges.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
