This is a finished collector model of the BTR-40 armored personnel carrier in 1:72 scale from Ge Fabbri. The model combines metal and plastic parts, it is factory-assembled and painted and is usually supplied on a base. You do not have to glue or spray anything.
The BTR-40 is a light wheeled armored personnel carrier with four-wheel drive, one of the first postwar carriers of its category. It served to carry infantry, for reconnaissance and for liaison and became the basis for a range of further variants. It spread to many armies around the world.
The model has the chassis and the armored hull worked out and tends to be supplied with a base for display. The color scheme matches the chosen real subject. The combination of metal and plastic gives the model a pleasant weight and detail alike.
