This injected plastic kit by the Czech maker Special Hobby in 1:72 scale represents the CASA C-212-100 light transport aircraft in the striking Tail Art execution. The set contains gray plastic parts, clear parts, photo-etched and resin accessories and a quality decal sheet with two colorful Portuguese schemes. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The CASA C-212 is a Spanish twin-engine light transport and multirole aircraft with fixed landing gear and a rear cargo ramp. The 100 version is one of the early production executions. The Portuguese Air Force decorated its machines with conspicuous commemorative paintings on the vertical tail, which gave this edition its name and make it attractive both for modelers and for display cases.
This is a short-run kit, which calls for more careful preparation of the parts, cleaning up and sometimes filling of the joints. Wash the mold release residue off the resin parts and bond them with super glue. Paint the cabin and the interior before closing the fuselage. The colorful tail schemes come into their own on a smooth gloss varnish, over which the decals are applied and then sealed with a matte or semi-gloss varnish.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
