A collector's model of the French fighter aircraft Dewoitine D.520 in 1:72 scale. A finished piece for the display case, not a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Dewoitine D.520 was a French single-seat fighter aircraft of the beginning of the Second World War and it was among the best machines of its kind that went into combat in French colors. It was powered by a liquid-cooled V-12, thanks to which it had a slim nose and good agility. It reached the units late and in small numbers, so its influence on the course of the fighting of 1940 was smaller than its qualities would have allowed. It did go on flying for a long time afterwards, however.
This is a collector's model in 1:72 scale, that is in the most widespread scale of aircraft collections. A machine with a span of about ten meters comes out at roughly fourteen centimeters in it, so a whole group of machines fits side by side and it is possible to compare how the proportions of the individual types differed. The form of the model, its markings and the extent of the delivery are given in the manufacturer's description.
It suits the collector who is putting together a collection of aircraft in a uniform scale, and also anyone who wants a particular machine at home without building and painting. It is supplied as a finished piece for the display case; building parts, glue and paints do not belong to it, unless stated otherwise.
