An injection-molded plastic kit of the American General Dynamics F-111D/F Aardvark tactical bomber in 1:72 scale from Hobby 2000. It is a carefully put-together package that combines proven Hasegawa plastic with good Cartograf decals and Pmask masks. In the box you will therefore find everything for an effective model of a striking aircraft with a variable-geometry wing.
The F-111 Aardvark was an American two-seat, twin-engine tactical bomber with its crew seated side by side. It became famous for its variable-geometry wing (swing wings), which opens and closes in flight according to speed. Thanks to its terrain-following radar it could reach a target at low level and in any weather. The D and F versions were among the advanced strike machines; the F had more powerful engines and advanced avionics. The Aardvark carried bombs as well as guided munitions on pylons under the fuselage and the wings and was deployed among other places in the Persian Gulf.
Use liquid cement for plastic and work in subassemblies. Finish and paint the cockpit before you close the fuselage; the masks enclosed make clean glazing of the canopy easier. Apply a primer before painting and put the colors on with an airbrush. Think over the position of the swing wings (spread or swept) and fit the external stores. The Cartograf decals have excellent registration and rich colors.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
