An injection-molded plastic kit in 1:72 scale from the Czech manufacturer Kovozavody Prostejov. The Over Israel boxing concentrates on machines operated by the Israeli Air Force. The exact contents of the package and the extent of the decal sheet are not stated here and differ between the individual releases.
The Fouga CM.170 Magister is a French two-seat jet trainer of the early fifties, recognizable by its butterfly V-tail and the pair of Turbomeca Marbore engines in the rear part of the fuselage. Israel was one of its significant foreign users and the machines were later built there under license as well, under a domestic designation. Besides pilot training the type was also used for light attack duties, for which its simple construction and undemanding operation suited it well.
First try dry-fitting the fuselage halves and the roots of the butterfly surfaces. Glue with thin cement for polystyrene, fill the seams with putty and sand them down. A filling base coat before painting will reveal the remaining flaws. Mask the cockpit and apply the paint with an airbrush in thin coats. Sand and desert shades require an even base, otherwise the joints will show through. Use gloss clear under the decals, after drying unify the surface with matte clear and keep any weathering within reasonable limits.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
