Responsibility details are not available.
A set of parts for creating tufts of grass for dioramas and vignettes in 1:72 scale. It is not a model of an airplane or of a vehicle but an accessory for completing terrain: taller grass by the edge of an area, tufts between worn ruts, growth by a wall or among rubble. The parts are precisely cut and supplied unpainted.
A continuous grassy surface is usually dealt with in modeling by loose scatter or by static grass. Those, however, create only an even carpet, and it is precisely that which gives artificial-looking terrain away. Taller, free-standing tufts add variation in height and shadow to an area, thanks to which the terrain stops looking like green paper. For 1:72 scale even a few tufts on a break in the terrain or by the foot of a structure are enough.
Take the parts out of the sheet and clean them up with a new blade; in a small scale they are very fine, so work with tweezers and without pressure. Open the tufts out lightly and bend them before gluing, so that the blades do not point straight up like a brush. Glue with gel cyanoacrylate glue into a hollow prepared beforehand in the terrain. Paint over a thin acrylic primer applied with an airbrush, from a darker green at the foot to lighter and yellowish at the top; suggest dry grass with ocher. Cover the transition to the base with pigment or fine scatter, so that the tuft does not look stuck on.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and a base are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
