An accessory set of engine exhaust nozzles in the open position for a model of the Grumman F-14A Tomcat in 1:72 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set replaces the engine exhaust nozzles on a model of the Grumman F-14A Tomcat in 1:72 scale, in the open position. Even on a small model this is a conspicuous place: seen from behind, the rear is made up of two large circular mouths, and the kit part in this scale is usually only suggested, or shallow. A replacement part gives the mouths the right depth and division, so that the model holds up even from behind, where a lack of finish otherwise shows first.
Lay the parts on dry and check how they meet the engine nacelles of the particular kit; in 1:72 scale a small deviation is enough for a gap to show. Cut the excess material away with a sharp blade a little from the part and sand the remainder carefully. The parts are not polystyrene, so glue them with cyanoacrylate glue and apply it in small doses so that it does not run onto the visible surface. Wash and degrease the parts before painting.
The inside and outside of the nozzles differ in color, so it is practical to paint the parts separately and to fit them only once the surroundings are finished. Apply metallic shades and heat discoloration in thin layers and grade them toward the mouth. Hold the small parts on a wooden stick or in a clamp, so that you do not have to touch them while painting.
The model, paints and glue are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
