Responsibility details are not available.
An accessory set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard that deals with one particular detail: the seat harnesses of the seats in the cargo compartment of the Mil Mi-17 transport helicopter. The STEEL designation states the material of the photo-etched part. Compared with brass, steel sheet is easier to form into soft waves and, above all, keeps the position it has been formed into, so a harness thrown over a seat stays where you lay it.
The cargo cabin of the Mi-17 is roomy and with the side doors or the rear clamshell doors open there really is a lot to be seen of it. The seats along the walls make up a prominent part of that view. Injection-molded plastic usually only suggests the harnesses in relief, because in 1:48 scale they would have to have a disproportionate thickness. The photo-etched set deals with this detail in a targeted way, without acquiring a large set for the whole helicopter.
Separate the harnesses with a scalpel against a hard surface and form them over a rounded edge with blunt tweezers, so that natural waves with a slight sag come about. Bend the fittings and the buckles in a bender or between two razor blades. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue applied in the smallest amount, ideally with the tip of a wire. Assemble the seats, paint them and only then fit the harnesses onto them. A light dust of pigment and fine shading will lend the interior a used look.
