A set of replacement wheels for a model of the Heinkel He 162A in 1:72 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Heinkel He 162A was a German single-seat fighter of the last months of the Second World War, designed and put into production in an exceptionally short time and built largely of wood. Unlike most German fighters of the day it had a nosewheel landing gear, so the machine stood level on the ground and the landing gear wheels are clearly visible on a finished model.
This is a set of replacement landing gear wheels for a build in 1:72 scale. Replacement wheels are bought because they tend to be more accurate in shape than the parts from the box and tend to have more legible tread relief and hub detail. The exact number of parts and which kit they are cut for are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
Cut the surplus material off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the remainder carefully so that the shape of the tire is not disturbed. Wash and degrease the parts before painting, otherwise the finish may not take. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue, because cement for polystyrene need not work here. Painting is made easier by a masking disc or a narrow strip of tape with which you separate the hub from the rubber part. The particular procedure for preparing the parts is given in the manufacturer's instructions.
The set is for modelers who want to raise the level of detail at a place everyone looks at on a finished model and who do not want to reshape the wheels from the parts in the box. The kit of the aircraft itself, the paints and the glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
