The set of unglued and unpainted figures 1:72 Jacobites part 2 from the manufacturer Strelets-R follows on from the first part of the same line and widens the range of characters of the Jacobite risings in 1:72 scale.

This is a set of figures of soft plastic in 1:72 scale from the manufacturer Strelets-R. It is not a kit of a vehicle nor of an aircraft, but an addition for dioramas, display cases and mass battle scenes. The designation part 2 means that the set follows on from an earlier part of the same line and offers different poses, so it can be combined with the first part without repeating the same characters. The figures are supplied unpainted, in the color of the plastic, and await the modeler's work.
The Jacobites were adherents of the deposed Stuart line, who in Britain between the end of the 17th and the middle of the 18th century rose in arms several times. Their detachments were raised mainly by the Scottish Highlands and their appearance differed markedly from the regular army of the day: loose dress of checked cloth, a cloak thrown over the shoulder, leather footwear, simple equipment. Alongside muskets, edged weapons and a small round shield held on with them. It is precisely this variety that makes the Jacobites a rewarding theme for painting, because every figure can look different.
Soft plastic is not joined with ordinary cement for polystyrene. Use cyanoacrylate, best of all the thicker gel variant, and press the joint briefly. Before painting, wash the figures with lukewarm water and detergent and let them dry out properly, which rids them of residues of the release agent from the mold. Cut the sprue gates and the fine parting lines off with a sharp scalpel in a stroke, not by scraping. The most important step is a primer intended for flexible plastics, because without it the paint on a soft material cracks and flakes off. Paint the checked cloth from the base up: first the base tone, once dry suggest the vertical and horizontal lines with a thin brush and finally unify the whole with a glaze. You will fine-tune the details with a dry brush and a dark wash into the folds.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
