Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Japanese Kawanishi N1K-J Shiden fighter in the Model 11 Otsu version. The model comes in gray and clear plastic and contains decals, a pilot figure and a stand for displaying the finished aircraft. The cockpit interior and the wing cannons are reproduced as well. This boxing carries the markings of the 403rd unit, nicknamed the Kihei-tai.
The Kawanishi N1K-J Shiden (Allied code name George) was a land-based fighter derived from the Kyofu floatplane. It was marked by heavy armament and respectable agility. The Kihei-tai unit was formed in 1945 to defend the airspace over Tokyo and faced raids by B-29 bombers as well as escorting P-51 Mustang fighters and carrier aircraft of the US Navy.
Paint the cockpit interior and the cannons before closing the fuselage and the wings. Mask the clear canopy and paint it separately. For the Imperial Japanese Navy Air Service a dark green upper finish with a gray underside suits the aircraft; apply the decals over a gloss coat and seal them with a matte coat. The pilot figure can be placed in the cockpit or beside the model on the stand.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
