An accessory set for aircraft models in 1:72 scale: the Kh-29T air-to-surface guided missile in the television-guided version together with the AKU-58-I ejector launcher on which it is carried under the wing or the fuselage.
The Kh-29 is a Soviet short-range air-to-surface guided missile, listed under the NATO code name AS-14 Kedge. It carries a heavy warhead and is aimed at targets that call for a large effect on a small area: fortified installations, bridges, runways and ships near the coast. Its carriers were Soviet and Russian attack and tactical bomber aircraft, among them the Su-24 and the Su-25.
The Kh-29T version has a television guidance seeker head. The operator picks the target on a screen before launch and the missile then holds onto its image itself, so the carrier does not have to continue closing in after launch. The AKU-58-I is an ejector launcher: it pushes the missile away from the aircraft before the motor fires, so that it separates safely.
Cut the excess material off a short way from the part with a sharp blade and sand the remainder so that the cylindrical shape of the missile body is preserved. Wash and degrease the parts before painting. Fit the fins and stabilizers dry first and check that they lie in one plane; crossed surfaces are conspicuous on a finished model. Try the fit on the launcher dry as well. Adapt the glue and the procedure to the material of the parts according to the manufacturer's instructions.
The package contains the missile and the launcher. The kit, paints and glue are not included, unless stated otherwise.
