Responsibility details are not available.
A set of unassembled and unpainted plastic figures in 1:72 scale from the Russian brand Zvezda. The package contains riders on horseback in several different poses and represents the elite heavy cavalry of ancient Macedon. The figures suit collectors of historical miniatures, diorama builders and tabletop battle games alike.
The striking force of the Macedonian army was its heavy cavalry, the hetairoi (companions), in which the Macedonian nobility served. The riders were armed with a long cavalry lance and a short sword and were protected by a metal or linen cuirass and a Boeotian type helmet. This cavalry played a key role in the campaigns of Alexander the Great and in the Hellenistic wars that followed.
Separate the small parts carefully from the frame and clean up the flash. Glue the plastic with thin modeling cement for plastic. Apply a primer before painting; for figures both an airbrush and a brush work well, with a final pass of drybrushing and a dark wash to bring out the detail.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
