A set of pre-cut self-adhesive masks for a model in 1:72 scale, at the most complete level of the range. With New Ware the levels describe the scope of the set: the basic variant covers the main masking work, while EXPERT is the widest version with the largest number of ready-made masks. The set matches the parts of one specific kit, the Hasegawa E38.
The EA-18G Growler is a two-seat twin-engine carrier-borne aircraft intended for electronic warfare duties, derived in design from the two-seat version of the Super Hornet. It differs from the original type in its equipment and in the additional pods on the wing and at the wingtips; the airframe and the cockpit remain very similar. For the modeler that means an intricate tandem cockpit canopy with a great many thin frames.
In 1:72 scale the frames are tenths of a millimeter wide. Hand-cut tape of that width does not hold its shape and the frames come out uneven, which shows on the finished model at once. The pre-cut masks have their shapes determined by the shapes of the parts, so the paint transition is straight and the frames symmetrical. The widest level also covers further areas beyond the glazing itself.
This is a mask set, not a model. Paints, glue and the plastic kit are not included in the package.
