A resin set of replacement landing gear wheels from the manufacturer RES-IM, intended for the model of the MiG-21 fighter in its late versions in 1:72 scale. The cast wheels offer sharper and more faithful detail of the tire tread pattern and of the hubs than the plastic parts from the kit, and they are usually cast with realistic weighting where they touch the ground. It is not a model of an airplane but a detail accessory; the basic kit has to be bought separately.
The MiG-21 was a Soviet supersonic fighter, one of the most widely used jet fighters in history, flown by dozens of countries. The late versions differed above all in a more powerful engine, a larger fuel load in the dorsal spine and a reworked landing gear, to which the matching wheels belong.
First wash the parts free of any mold release agent, cut the casting blocks away carefully and clean up the faces; protect your airways when sanding resin. Bond resin with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Check the orientation of the tread pattern before gluing, and after the clear coat pick out the hub and the tire in different shades.
The accessory is supplied on its own. The model itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
