This set of waterslide decals in 1:72 scale is intended for a model of the Japanese Mitsubishi A6M2 Zero carrier fighter in the Model 21 version. The subject is machines from the period of the attack on Pearl Harbor in December 1941. It is not a kit but an accessory that will give a model period-accurate markings.
The A6M Zero was a Japanese carrier fighter famous for its long range and its agility. The Model 21 version with long folding wingtips was committed from aircraft carriers in the first months of the war in the Pacific, including the opening operations over Hawaii.
The decals are applied the wet way onto smooth gloss varnish. Coat the surface with gloss varnish, release the decal in water, place it and go over it with matte varnish once dry. A decal softener will help it settle onto a broken surface.
