This injection-molded plastic kit in 1:72 scale from Hasegawa represents the Mitsubishi T-2 supersonic advanced trainer in the service of the Japan Air Self-Defense Force (J.A.S.D.F.). The model stands out for its finely made fuselage, a well worked-up cockpit, a clear canopy and accurate panel lines. The proven mold offers the quality buildability typical of this manufacturer.
The Mitsubishi T-2 was the first Japanese domestic supersonic trainer, which first flew at the beginning of the 1970s. This two-seat, twin-engine machine served for the advanced training of pilots and became the design basis of the later Mitsubishi F-1 attack aircraft. Its elegant silhouette and its performance made it an important type in Japanese aviation.
Apply liquid cement sparingly and try the fuselage joints dry. Finish the cockpit before closing up the canopy. A primer and gray shades suit the Japanese scheme; the decals come out best on a smooth gloss base. Even coats are laid down best with an airbrush.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
