An injection-molded plastic model of the French Morane-Saulnier MS.225 fighter in 1:72 scale from the Czech brand Smer. The kit uses an older, simply conceived mold with a manageable number of parts and clear parts; the package holds decals for machines of the French Air Force of the interwar period. It is a ready model of an unusual subject of the 1930s.
The MS.225 was a French fighter of the first half of the 1930s with a characteristic parasol high-wing layout, fixed landing gear and an open cockpit. It was powered by a Gnome-Rhone radial engine and in its time was among the modern fighters of the French Air Force; it also flew with display teams and went into history as one of the last French parasol fighters.
Glue the parts with modeling cement for plastic; with an older mold reckon on more careful cleaning of the seams and on fitting. What matters most is the precise seating of the struts of the upper wing, so that the model stands square; on a parasol layout it is best to add fine rigging only after painting. Lay down a primer and apply the paints with an airbrush or a brush with careful masking.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
